Cries of rejoin the European Union resounds across London even as Starmer quits! Hundreds gather to protest Brexit Referendum Anniversary

The tenth anniversary of the referendum on Brexit was met with protest as hundreds gathered in central London with cries of rejoin the European Union now.

They traveled from as far as Edinburgh in the north to Cornwall in the south. Pensioners and the working class trouped in through the national rail from Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff to name just a few cities. They walked from the Temple underground rail station to the Parliament Square with flags and placards in hands. The final number touched somewhere close to fifteen hundred.

From the 12-starred EU to the Union Jack, it was show of solidarity for many as cries of ‘no more lies’ and ‘join now’ resounded the summer air in London.

Braving the thirty degrees heat they assembled at the Parliament square to be addressed by a host of anti-Brexit personalities including Lib Dem MP Layla Moran, Mike Glasworthy Chair of European Movement UK, veteran politician Lord Kinnock, famous musician Madeleina Kay and political activist Steve Gray among many others.
