MG has launched the Hector Tomahawk PHEV starting at Rs 21.79 lakh under a Battery-as-a-Service plan, or Rs 25.69 lakh (ex-showroom) outright — India’s first mass-market plug-in hybrid SUV, promising a combined range of up to 1,100km on a full tank and charge. The range-topping Essence variant is priced at Rs 27.79 lakh, ex-showroom. Unlike its electric sibling, the PHEV is offered only as a seven-seater, with no five-seat option on either variant. MG says test drives and deliveries will begin in November 2026, giving buyers a few months’ wait after today’s price announcement before the SUV actually reaches driveways.
