The protest led to a traffic jam stretching nearly 2-3 kilometres on the bypass. Police teams from four police stations reached the spot and tried to pacify the students for nearly two hours. The students initially demanded that the District Magistrate be called to the spot. When their demand was not met, they started marching towards the DM’s residence.
